This position will be responsible for the management and development of the Street Ministry and Employment Services programs, including the transition of these programs to a new facility and the oversight of the planning and construction phases of this project. This position will act as the agency's specialist on poverty by working in the community to understand the current needs of those living in poverty. The Community Director will be responsible for gaining a holistic understanding of poverty and the local community and will work in collaboration with Service Directors and other relevant parties to develop and implement, appropriate service solutions. Responsibilities include indentifying current issues and trends, assessing current programs and services and developing and implementing new initiatives in response; reviewing, screening and distributing current literature on field and population to staff and management; completing reports and research, including comments on position papers, draft regulations, legislation, etc. Requirements inlcude Bachelor's degree, 3 years experience working with people living in poverty, 5 years experience in management/administration and a valid driver's license.
