Learn about the opportunities for and expectations of volunteers at Unity House.
Volunteers are vital to our success. We are grateful for the many ways they help fulfill our mission. Whether it’s directly working with our consumers in a program, helping behind the scenes, working on a one-off project, cooking and serving a meal, stocking pantry shelves, assisting in the Unity House store, or at any of the other many tasks around Unity House, the support of volunteers is essential.
Volunteer Information Sessions are generally held monthly, either during the work day or an evening. There is no commitment in attending a session: it’s simply information about Unity House and volunteer opportunities. It’s a great chance to ask questions and to see Unity House.
If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, check out events pages on our website and Facebook page. You can also reach out directly to our Volunteer Desk by contacting Volunteer Coordinator Moira Geracitano at (518) 274-2607 x4139 or Volunteer@UnityHouseNY.org
The next volunteer information session is scheduled for January 16th at Unity House’s Front Door at 2431 6th Ave, Troy, NY 12180. While you don’t need to RSVP, doing so does help us know how many people to expect. The session starts at 1:00 pm.
