The Unity House food pantry was grateful to receive a generous donation of non-perishable food items for our pantry.

The goods were the result of a food drive organized by Mr. Tae Yun, of local Columbia Tae Kwon Do located at 370 Columbia Turnpike in Rensselaer. The studio offers classes to kids and adults alike and incorporates a service component in their curriculum.

Kids, families and adult students collected canned goods, boxes of pasta, bags of rice, jars of peanut butter, boxes of cereal, cans of tuna and more for the food pantry. The food pantry at Unity House is part of the Community Resources program which addresses emergency needs such as food and clothing. Last year the pantry provided over 2,600 households with about 140,000 meals. This would not have been possible without the generous support of many in our community.
