Local girl scouts made a big contribution for October’s Domestic Violence Awareness month. Troop 153 took toiletries, which are very much in demand in shelters, and created individual shower caddies. The toiletries are a handy mix of items that are useful to an individual or a parent with children, and are in a caddy. The caddy is not only helpful when living in a shelter, but makes for an easier transition once a person achieves stable housing. Each caddy was beautifully wrapped and came with a kind note.
