At The Joe: first pitch thrown out by Unity House
Unity House was invited by the Tri City Valley Cats for a very special honor: to throw out the first pitch in a game at their home turf on August 9th. Unity House’s Sarah McGaughnea, of the Domestic Violence Services program, took on the challenge. Donned in a Unity House uniform (a logo tee), she gamely threw an Atem Ball over the plate. (Remember the Atem Ball? It went straight at ‘em.)
Many thanks to Southpaw and the whole team at our local ballpark. The Valley Cats are great hosts and a great team.
