The event will also bring awareness to the resources available to women via Unity House’s Domestic Violence Services program, whose office sits kitty-corner to Nighthawks location at 461 Broadway in downtown Troy.
Speakers at the Women’s Unity Brunch will include Jinah Kim, owner of renowned Sunhees Farm & Kitchen in Troy; Mary Pat Donnelly, the Rensselear County District Attorney; Tandra Lagrone, Executive Director of In Our Own Voices; and Milinda Reed Esq., Director of Human Resources & General Counsel at Unity House.
Asked about the Women’s Day Brunch, Chef & Co-owner of Nighthawks Josh Colletto said, “We all know someone who has been victimized in one way or another. We want to give hope to survivors of domestic violence, letting them know the community stands behind them and supports them. As a restaurant within Troy, let it be known that we stand behind women’s empowerment and against domestic violence.”
