You can support the Unity House team of walkers from our Domestic Violence Services Program as they walk in Paws in the Park, the HMHS’s fundraiser to support their valuable programming.  The humane society is a valuable partner to Sojourner Place, Unity House’s shelter for victims of domestic violence.  Why? Because up to 2/3 of victims entering shelter report that fear of retaliation against a pet as a barrier to leaving an abusive situation.
