Corporate Matching Gift Programs

Many companies have a Matching Gift program, where the company will match all or part of the tax-deductible portion of its employee’s cash donation to Unity House. If you would like your company to match a gift that you have made, please include the necessary paperwork with your portion filled out, along with your donation to Unity House.

Gifts of Stock

Unity House does accept and welcomes gifts of stock. If you are interested in making a contribution of stock, please contact Unity House’s Development Office at 518.274.2607 x4133 or by emailing SBastien@UnityHouseNY.org

For a gift of stock, please note the below information, which you can give to your broker to facilitate electronic delivery to Unity House. Please contact us to notify us of the transfer details so that we can properly acknowledge your gift.

In-Kind Products

Unity House accepts new and gently used donations from community groups, corporations, individuals and organizations.  Groups and/or individuals can organize in-kind drives for clothing, toiletries or non-perishable food items or holiday gifts.  For further information, please email giving@unityhouseny.org.

In-kind Donation Guidelines

On weekdays Unity House accepts donations of new or “like-new” men, women and children’s clothing, for ReStyle, our store. We also accept books for our community library. For clothing, we cannot use items that are in any way broken, ripped or torn, stained or missing pieces. Please note, currently, WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING used car seats, high chairs or other infant furnishings or electronics of any kind.  Questions?  Call us at (518) 274-2607.

Unity House is unable to pick up donations. We cannot accept donations on weekends.

Planned Giving

Planned giving is one of the simplest ways to make an impact. Talk to your financial advisor about adding Unity House to your will and help ensure our programs are here for those who need them.

Volunteering & Special Events

Volunteer as a corporate group, community group, or an individual. Most volunteer opportunities at Unity House occur during the work week, during traditional business hours. Limited opportunities for evenings, weekends, and special events do exist. Please follow Unity House on social media to learn more about Volunteer Information Sessions, generally held monthly.
